Melody and the Melodettes

It's been almost a week since the Melodettes were born. Puppies are fat and sassy. Mommy has finally had all of the mats shaved off - not a good job, but she's clean now.

Little Miss Melody was picked up extremely pregnant at the Houston BARC shelter. We took her immediately to the vet for x-rays to see how pregnant she was and the number of babies she might have. We saw four little skeltons in her. As we took her off the x-ray table, we noticed that.....wait for it.....ther was a puppy, yes a puppy, already on the way out. Oops. So, even though they were closing right then, the vet let us set her up in a large cage and she whelped four cute little pups over the next 3.5 hours. Melody is also high heartworm positive. So, folks, we need your help. We need her intake sponsorship, sponsorship for heartworm treatment and sponsorship for six weeks of seriously high-calorie and high quality food. HELP!
